PROJECTSfor RapidWeaver

Webdeersign Projects are built with more TLC than you could ever imagine. They are ready made RapidWeaver project files together with all images and icons used with in-file documentation. The Projects require Stacks3 and either Foundation (available from Joe Workman) or Foundry (available from Elixir). See each Project to see whether Foundation or Foundry is supported.

Demo 1 uses a minimal hamburger navigation to call a hidden reveal menu. The navigation is always visible yet stays out of the way. The first 3 Column layout reduces beautifully to a stacked 2 Column display, saving vertical space and creating a design that does not look like a conventional 3 Column to 1 Column page.

The overall width also maintains a proportional space on each side that perfectly frames the content. at all screen sizes. I simple Foundation style accordion layout is included allowing use of any icons.

Demo 2 is similar to Demo 1 except it has a full Magellan Style navigation menu at the top and navigation dots on the right side. The page position markers and Text, are generated automatically once you label the markers.

The first 4 Column layout reduces beautifully to a stacked 2 Column display, saving vertical space and creating a design that does not look like a conventional 4 Column to 1 Column page. This layout also has a 2 Column equalised layout so that each column remains the same height and the lower price boxes remain on the same horizontal line. A simpler Footer is also used.

Similar to Demo 2 except it uses a different and more complex footer with offset overhanging logo. The top 2 Column layout reduces beautifully to a stacked 2 Column display, saving vertical space and creating a design that does not look like a conventional 2 Column to 1 Column page.

Also this layout uses a variation of the main logo used as a mask over the pseudo background. Several other divider images are available in the warehouse folder.

Demo 4 has a cleaner more clinical look suitable for many type of applications. This demo has a lot of transparency with a fixed blurred background image with a semi transparent overlay to add texture. An arrow divider is used over the fixed background.

Also Demo 4 uses a different and more complex transparent footer with offset overhanging social icons with links. There are no tricks going on in this demo, just straight up Foundation and BWD stacks.

This demo has configured examples using DooBox's Contact Form, S4S Lister, S4S HoverBox & Joe Workman's Post Office.

In addition to the Options page is a second CMS version of this page and an extra CMSEdit page to edit this CMS page. This is setup to demonstrate how to use EasyCMS or TotalCMS for text and images. An admin page is already created and tested.

Contact for more details about the CMS Edit page including accessing the password to try it out.

The Starter Page is designed with 2 purposes. Firstly, it's a quick way start building a site with a landing page, a couple of Sections and a footer and also SEO, SiteStyles all ready to start building.

Secondly, it is a good place for new Foundation users to start exploring. The 2 main modules included, i.e. a 2 Column equalised layout and a 2 Column with text and an image with a link, are a great place to start learning. Additional notes are provided with some outline guidance on how to proceed.

Project 2 is a single page style design that includes 3 extra pages to be used for Services or Product descriptions and layouts. This design fits many typical requirements and provides an elegant way to display content. It scales well and extra pages can be added. P2 uses Foundation TopBar, DropDowns and Reveals. Also as an option, it use the excellent S4S Switcher Tab & Accordion stack but as an alternative, a simpler design could be achieved using the Foundation Accordion stack.

Project 3 is a site aimed at restaurants, bars and coffee houses but is equally applicable in many other web applications. the Foundation version uses PulseCMS as a low cost but very capable CMS system to allow the end user to edit daily promotions and bar and food menus. Alternatively, any other CMS can be used. The navigation is a unique design and a blank logo background is also provided. This can be modified using a graphics program or alternatively swap out with your own logo.

Project 3 for Foundry, is a site aimed at restaurants, bars and coffee houses but is equally applicable in many other web applications. It uses Kuler Solutions EditsPro as a low cost but very capable CMS system to allow the end user to edit daily promotions and bar and food menus. Alternatively, any other CMS can be used. The navigation is a unique design and a blank logo background is also provided. This can be modified using a graphics program or alternatively swap out with your own logo.

P4 is a site aimed at high value products or services where a small number of products or services are offered. This design is CMS ready and laid out to make it as easy as possible to replace content with CMS images or text.

P4 uses some great looking effects using SectionsPro. Also the navigation uses a central logo and a split TopBar navigation.

P5 uses a unique technique to show text "behind" elements of a BG image that scale perfectly at any width. P5 also uses a Mega menu that allows any type and amount of content which makes i perfect for large multi level sites.

Present your portfolio or services in a beautiful presentation that scales as you add more clients or services. The images link to a Client page that is ideal to be duplicated and use as a base for each client by editing and adding the images specific to each client. In addition is a News (blog) styled to match the rest of the site already setup to use PulseCMS but easy to adapt to any other blog.

Main demo uses Impact for the initial full page beautiful slide fade. See DEMO2 for a similar version that does not use Impact stack, and displays a full page static image instead. P7 is a single page design that matches the design and integrates with the incredible Shootproof photo gallery and shopping cart. See www.shootproof.com for details. Note that is is free to use for up to 100 photos and low cost for 100 plus.

Main Foundry demo uses Impact for the initial full page beautiful slide fade.

DEMO2 is identical to DEMO1 except it does not use Impact stack, and uses a full page static image instead. Note that both demo versions are included in P7 in a single project file.

Foundry DEMO2 is identical to Foundry DEMO1 except it does not use Impact stack, and uses a full page static image instead. Note that all versions are included in P7 in a single project file.

DEMO3 is identical to DEMO1 except it uses Pixieset instead of Shootproof. Currently Pixieset offers up to 1500 photos for free! See www.pixieset.com for full details.

Foundry DEMO3 is identical to Foundry DEMO1 except it uses Pixieset instead of Shootproof. Currently Pixieset offers up to 1500 photos for free! See www.pixieset.com for full details.

Foundry DEMO4 is similar to Foundry DEMO2 except it uses 100% Foundry stacks. No additional stacks were used in the creation of this demo page.

Shootproof and Pixieset are 2 of the leading Photography Gallery and photo selection and shop systems available. They are both very slick and easy to use, yet offer a lot more. Both are very similar in look and how they work but essentially they allow you or a professional photographer, to upload photos into galleries and make them public or setup individual passwords on each gallery. Users can then select galleries and view images in the most beautiful web galleries and light boxes and either download or edit and buy them depending on how the system is setup.

The really good thing is that they both have free versions which are perfect for those not needing a shop system - Shootproof allows up to 100 photos and Pixieset allows up to 1500. There are paid tiers starting at about $8 per month and these allow up to unlimited amounts of service and photos. See Shootproof or Pixieset for details.

Which should I use? I would suggest to try both and carefully define exactly what you want.
